Person That Transformed Costa Rica’s National Symphony Orchestra Passes Away

Costa Rica Entertainment – Gerald Brown was known as the professor who transformed the National Symphony Orchestra. He passed away on Sunday due to pneumonia. He was accompanied by his wife in Arizona.
He started music classes at age 5 and proceeded to study at Julliard.
He then joined the Peace Corps to teach music in South America. He took over as conductor of the orchestra and converted it into the institution it is known as today, interpreting repertoires and training classical musicians.
His arrival to the orchestra was controversial because he fired 32 musicians and brought in 18 foreigners. Such an external influence was offensive at first. From their first performance, however, the public was enchanted.
