Trying to Reduce the Traffic in Costa Rica

Costa Rica News – Six large roadwork projects seek to alleviate, at least in part, the traffic jams throughout the capital. They are supposed to all be completed by the end of 2020. Of the six, one is already in the works, two are awaiting start orders and three have not yet been awarded. There are also 28 smaller points that must be improved in a year but only four had been started by August.
The largest project is the section of Circunvalación Norte that will enter service in December. An intersection will be built at three levels in La Uruca. The section between León XIII and Colima de Tibás has advanced 85% and will be done in just over a month while in Functional Unit III,
