Getting Ready for Gas Price Increases in Costa Rica Due To Strike

Costa Rica News – The strike is going to hit our wallets soon, as the damage it’s done to Recope will be recuperated by increasing fuel charges. The strike has gone beyond simply blockading streets. Blockades stopped the sale of fuel from various locations.
The strike has also caused acts of sabotage as well as additional expenses for contingency plans. The estimated loss, inconveniences and damage is ¢4,600 million in the Moín campus alone.
It is facing pipeline damage from someone drilling a hole in the pipeline creating a diesel spill and problems due to the shutdown of the boilers, something that should never happen as it causes the product to harden.
