You may not have thought much about it but whenever you picked up your ID you were asked to sign in using your index finger. This allowed the Government to make a system of almost everyone’s fingerprint.
It’s now more advanced. The next time you renew your ID you will register in a bidactillary identification system which uses all ten fingers as well as facial recognition. While some complain this is intrusive, others believe it creates more security.
With this information attached to your ID, it is much less likely that someone could steal your identity. This will also allow migration authorities to be sure of who is coming and going, especially with minors leaving the country.
