Costa Rica to Host 1st Official Trail Race this Weekend

Costa Rica Events – The first official Costa Rican trail race will take place this Saturday, August 8th, in Pavones, Turrialba.

It will be the first of three races to be held in a tournament under the name of The North Face Nissan.

According to Federico Escalante, co-owner of the Ecogreen Trail Run Series, the company organizing the event, there has been a very good response from the athletes that have signed up to participate in this challenge.

The next two races will take place on October 3rd, in Sarapiqui, and the other one in San Gerardo de Dota, on December 5th. All three races will cover a distance of 50 kms (31 miles, approximately).

Escalante also made notice that the Chilean Verónica Bravo, one of the top five trail runners in Latin America, will be the special guest for the tournament inauguration this Saturday.
